A young Summit County girl suffered injuries in a fall at the Park City Municipal Athletic & Recreation Center on Sunday, the Park City Police Department said.

She is 8 years old and fell between 10 and 12 feet, the police said in an online statement. The Park City Fire District treated the girl at the scene and then took her to the Park City Medical Center in an ambulance. Emergency responders were called to the facility at 3:05 p.m.

The police said in a separate statement she might have suffered a neck injury. She was at the facility with her mother, according to the police.

The police said the child fell into the padded pit underneath the climbing wall at the Park Meadows facility.
