The Utah Department of Transportation will close Interstate 80 at the Wanship interchange (Exit 155) in Summit County to replace the I-80 bridges over State Road 32.

The westbound lanes will close Friday night, Aug. 17, through Saturday, Aug. 18, and the eastbound lanes will close Saturday night, Aug. 25, through Sunday, Aug. 26. Drivers are advised to use I-84 through Ogden as an alternate route.

The freeway will be closed on the following dates:

Westbound I-80 at Wanship (Exit 155): closed from Friday, Aug. 17, at 7 p.m. through Saturday, Aug. 18, at 7 p.m.

Eastbound I-80 at Wanship (Exit 155): closed from Saturday, Aug. 25, at 6 p.m. through Sunday, Aug. 26, at 6 p.m.

In additions to the freeway closures, S.R. 32 will be closed under I-80 on the following dates:

Thursday, Aug. 16, at 7 p.m. through Sunday, Aug. 19, at 1 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 24, at 6 p.m. through Monday, Aug. 27, at noon

During these closures, construction crews will demolish the existing bridges and slide the new structures into place. Lane restrictions will begin the night before each closure and continue for two days following each bridge move to allow crews to complete paving.
