Park Silly Sunday Market
The Park Silly Sunday Market continues on Main Street on Sept. 2 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The market will feature food, crafts, soaps and other locally produced items each Sunday through Sept. 23. Main-Stage music on Sept. 9 will include folk music of Brian Ernst at 11 a.m. and the island grooves of the Patwa Reggae Band at 2 p.m. The Farmers Market stage will feature traditional 19th Century songs performed by Paul Boruff at 10 a.m. Admission is free. Frank "Fuzzy" Furr to Speak at the Park City Museum
Park City resident Frank "Fuzzy" Furr will speak about the U-2 spy plane program at the Park City Museum, 528 Main St., on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 5:30 p.m. The presentation, which is free and open to the public, is part of the museum's "Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow: Living with the Atomic Bomb" exhibit that is on display in the main gallery. Furr is a recognized authority on United State intelligence activities and airborne reconnaissance operations, with 1,300 hours as a U-2 pilot and over 35 years in the intelligence collection business. Melanoma Awareness Fundraiser
The PanAmerican Society Pigment Cell Research will present Making Magic for Melanoma Research fundraiser on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the Astor Ballroom at St. Regis Deer Valley, 2300 Deer Valley Dr., from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. Keynote speakers will be Brown University's Dr. Roger Hanlon, senior scientist and professor of ecology and evolutionary biology.
