Matt Knoop Memorial Park Grand Opening

Join Basin Recreation as it celebrates the ribbon cutting and dedication of the area's newest community park, the Matt Knoop Memorial Park, 056 Shadow Mountain Dr., on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 10 a.m. Bike, hike and enjoy a free continental breakfast. Park Silly Sunday Market

The Park Silly Sunday Market continues on Main Street on Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The market will feature food, crafts, soaps and other locally produced items each Sunday through Sept. 23. Main-Stage music on Sept. 16 will include Salt Lake bluegrass band Puddle Mountain Ramblers at 11 a.m. and the rock grooves of Park City's Muddpuddle at 2 p.m. The Farmers Market stage will feature classic-rock covers by Scott Klismith at 10 a.m. Admission is free. Blood Drive at Park City High School

A blood drive will be held at PCHS Eccles Center, 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 17. Bring a photo ID. Basics of Backyard Beekeeping at the Swaner EcoCenter

Join the Swaner EcoCener, 1258 Center Dr. at Kimball Junction, as it welcomes Frank Whitby, a research assistant at the University of Utah, who will talk about the basics of beekeeping. His lecture will cover all the aspects of how to raise bees and start a hive. Participants will also hear about the current threats honey bees face and what is being done to protect them.
