Nathan Chamneys of Salt Lake City died over the weekend in a motorcycle crash east of Park City. Chamneys was traveling west on U.S. 40 when his motorcycle apparently drifted off the roadway and traveled down the median for several hundred feet, according to the Associated Press. He tried to bring the motorcycle back onto the road, but it eventually went down near the Kamas exit. He was not wearing a helmet and was airlifted to the University of Utah Medical Center, where he died at about 1 a.m. on Saturday from injuries sustained in the crash.

Free electronic waste collection in Coalville

Recycle Utah is teaming up with Summit County and Geary Construction to offer free electronic waste collection in Coalville on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Geary Construction, 340 South Main Street in Coalville. County residents are invited to bring computers, laptops, printers, small televisions, stereo equipment and items containing mercury, such as thermostats and compact fluorescent light bulbs. Pizzeria to host princess party fundraiser

Park City Pizza Company, located at 1612 Ute Blvd #111 at Kimball Junction, will host a princess party from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 12 to raise money for breast cancer research. 25 percent of the profits made during that time will go to the Karen Mullen Breast Cancer Foundation, a national charity based in Seattle.
