National NeighborWoods Month
The Uinta Headwaters Resource Conservation and Development Council are celebrating National NeighborWoods Month by planting trees at Coalville's entrance to the Rail Trail. The public can join the celebration on 12 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5 at the Rail Trail (about 100 West) on 100 South. An Arborist will read the Coalville Arbor Day Proclamation and give a short education session before the trees are planted. Those attending are asked to bring gloves, suitable footwear and shovels. Light refreshments will be available. National NeighborWoods Month was founded in 2005. Throughout October, local organizations nationwide engage thousands of volunteers to plant trees.
