The Park City Chamber/Visitors Bureau, in conjunction with the Department of Workforce Services, will host its annual Job Fair Tuesday, Oct. 9. The event hosts employers from the local area, and draws in prospective employees from across Northern Utah and Wyoming.
"All kinds of businesses participate," said Bill Malone, the Executive Director of the Park City Chamber/Bureau. "We market in a wide swathe to get people to come."
The Job Fair will include roughly 50 employers looking to hire, including the three resorts, Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort and Canyons Resort. Other employers range from lodging properties to banks to transportation companies, all looking to hire a variety of skill sets and experience levels. A number of employers will also be looking to fill full-time positions.
Attendees are asked to bring a copy of their resume for employers and interviews will be conducted on site. A copy machine and translating services will be available at the event.
"If I'm looking for additional part-time work or looking for full-time job, this would be a great place to go in terms of one-stop shopping," Malone said. " People can see what is available and what they might be interested in applying for.
People have lined up before the event started to get their applications in first, Malone added.
The Job Fair will be held at the Yarrow Hotel and Conference Center, located at 1800 Park Avenue, on Tuesday from 2 to 6 p.m. For more information, call 435-649-6100.
