The Park City Police Department last week received at least two reports of vehicle break-ins

They were:

  • on Friday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m., someone on Norfolk Avenue told the police a vehicle had been broken into the night before. In an online statement, the police said the case occurred on the 800 block of Norfolk Avenue. The police said the vehicle was not locked. A purse and a wallet were taken, the police said.

The online statement indicated credit cards that were in the purse were used to make unauthorized charges. They were canceled, the police said. The online statement did not provide details about the charges, including the amount.

  • on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 2:03 p.m. the police received a complaint that a vehicle had been broken into the previous Saturday night somewhere along Park Avenue. The police were told the vehicle might have been unlocked. A bag of tools and gym shoes might have been taken, the police were told.

Two other cases involved vehicle windows being damaged, but it was not clear whether someone tried to break into them.

On Friday, Oct. 19, rock was thrown through a vehicle window on Homestake Road sometime before the 7:56 a.m. report to the police. An online police statement said a passenger-side window on a Subaru Outback was smashed with a boulder. The vehicle suffered interior damage, the police said.

On Monday, Oct. 15 at 12:46 p.m., meanwhile, the window of a vehicle on Windrift Lane was found broken.
