A memorial wall is under construction close to the entrance of the City Hall-owned Park City Cemetery.
Ken Fisher, who oversees municipal recreation programs as well as handles cemetery policies, says the memorial wall is anticipated to be built by the end of the fall while landscaping will be planted in the spring.
The project is expected to cost $22,500. City Hall plans to recover the cost by selling plaques to be placed on the wall.
Fisher says approximately 400 plaques will be put on sale for someone to remember a late family member or friend. The price of the plaques has not been set and it is not decided whether people must have been Parkites to be remembered with a plaque.
The plaques will be available in two sizes -- five inches by eight inches and six inches by six inches. They will be made of bronze.
Fisher projects the plaques will be sold starting next spring.
He says some people might wish to be buried elsewhere but also be remembered for the time they spent living in Park City.
