Scholarships available to students in IEPs
Students enrolled in Individualized Education Programs, programs developed for children with delayed skills or disabilities, who attend public school are eligible to apply for a statewide scholarship to enroll at a private school through the Carson Smith Scholarship Program. Funding for the Carson Smith Special Needs Scholarship is not enough to cover the cost of all incoming applications for the 2012-13 school year, and all new applications will be placed in a lottery to receive funding. More information to see what private schools are participating and which students are eligible can be found on the Utah State Office of Education website at http://www.schools.utah.gov/sars/Quick-Links/Carson-Smith-Scholarship.aspx.
