On Sunday, Dec. 9 at 11:41 p.m., an open manhole cover was reported at or close to the intersection of Kearns Boulevard and Sidewinder Drive. The cover was completely off the top of the manhole, the police said, calling the situation a traffic hazard.
At 6:11 p.m., sport utility vehicles were reportedly parked at the corner of Park Avenue and Heber Avenue, creating difficulties for buses making turns at the corner.
Someone was seen changing a tire at the intersection of S.R. 224 and Meadows Drive at 5:48 p.m. The person who contacted the police was worried a driver would hit the person.
A disorderly conduct case was reported at the intersection of Park Avenue and Heber Avenue at 1:17 a.m. Public police logs did not provide details.
The police were called to Sidewinder Drive at 12:17 a.m., when a store clerk reportedly refused to sell a man beer. The man then threatened the clerk, the police were told.
On Saturday, Dec. 8 at 3:07 p.m., the police were called to an undisclosed location along Lowell Avenue, where a dog was apparently seen in a crate in a pickup truck. It was not clear why the police were summoned, but the person who contacted the department could have been worried about the safety of the dog.
A hit-and-run traffic accident was reported at 12:26 p.m. on Main Street. Public police logs did not provide details, including what sort of damage the victim's vehicle suffered.
A carbon monoxide detector reportedly sounded on the 700 block of Main Street at 9:15 a.
A suspected drunken driving case was reported at 1:52 a.m. along Deer Valley Drive close to the Park Avenue intersection.
On Friday, Dec. 7 at 6:19 p.m., the police were told a wallet was found at a store on the 1700 block of Park Avenue.
At 6:06 p.m., a man was reported to be singing loudly along Main Street and making profane comments. The police classified the case as disorderly conduct.
A water break was reported on American Saddler Drive at 5:55 p.m. The Public Works Department said an auxiliary valve might be to blame, according to the police.
A student reportedly skipped classes at Treasure Mountain Junior High. The police were contacted about the case at 9:25 a.m.
On Thursday, Dec. 6 at 4:50 p.m., someone contacted the police worried about the possibility a condominium rental was a scam. Public police logs did not provide details, but the condominium might have been on Park Avenue.
On Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 10:04 p.m., the police were told a large rock might have fallen close to the road along Marsac Avenue. The rock was reportedly approximately 500 feet from the intersection of Marsac Avenue and Ontario Avenue. The police were told it posed a traffic hazard.
Earlier that day, at 7:58 p.m., a large boulder was reportedly seen in the road close to the intersection of Marsac Avenue and Hillside Avenue. It was in the northbound lane, the police said.
A baby deer was seen limping as it crossed the 1700 block of Park Avenue toward the Park City Golf Club. The police received the report at 9:32 p.m.
At 6:14 a.m., a person was reportedly found sleeping in the Old Town transit center. The person woke up and was harassing people boarding a bus, the police were told.
On Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 5:03 p.m., a hit-and-run traffic accident was reported on lower Iron Horse Loop Road. The accident occurred the night before, the police were told. In a separate case, the Police Department was also informed of a hit-and-run traffic accident on Snow Creek Drive.
A smart phone was taken somewhere along Main Street at 11:16 a.m.
The police were told a laptop computer was left on a City Hall bus close to the Town Lift at 9:47 a.m. The police classified the case as a theft.
On Monday, Dec. 3 at 4:08 p.m., the police received a complaint that a boy appearing to be in his teens spray painted graffiti on a power box close to the intersection of Kearns Boulevard and Cooke Drive.
A student at the Park City Learning Center reportedly skipped classes, with the report being filed at 2:55 p.m. At 2:14 p.m., meanwhile, a Park City High School student was reported to be truant.
At 12:44 p.m., a fraud involving a rental home was reported on Chamber Avenue.
