Summit County Sheriff deputies received a report on Sunday, Dec. 16 that a man was found deceased in his South Summit home by a family member. He had not been under a physician's care for several months, so his body was transported to the medical examiner.

In other news, deputies responded to a domestic violence call in South Summit. Deputies determined the female was the aggressor and arrested her for domestic violence assault and criminal mischief.

On Saturday, Dec. 15, deputies pulled a vehicle over at a ski resort for multiple infractions and, using the Sheriff Department's K-9, located a bag of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. The driver was arrested.

Deputies responded to call about a fight in South Summit. Medical was called to check on the injuries to both parties. One of the individuals was arrested for a warrant, and the other for intoxication and assault.

A home was reportedly broken into in Kimball Junction and some Christmas gifts were stolen from a closet and a safe. There are no suspects.

On Friday, Dec. 14, a driver was pulled over after the deputy noticed the registered driver had previously been cited for driving without a current driver's license. The driver did not have a valid license and was arrested.

Deputies pulled a vehicle over on S.R. 224 for a head light violation, and discovered the driver had a warrant. He was arrested and transported to the Summit County Jail.

13, deputies checked businesses throughout Summit County for underage sales of tobacco. Deputies used underage buyers to attempt to purchase tobacco from the stores. All the stores checked were in compliance and did not sell to the minors.

A Kimball Junction man reportedly slashed the tires and damaged the vehicle of a neighbor with whom he'd been having problems.

Deputies made contact with the three occupants of a vehicle in the Basin. A consent search revealed marijuana paraphernalia in a purse and arrested the owner.

On Wednesday, Dec. 12, deputies responded to a suspicious person reportedly trying to break into vehicles in the Basin. Deputies found the man stumbling down the road, almost falling over several times, according to the Sheriff's Report. He was found to be intoxicated and was booked into the Summit County Jail, where deputies found marijuana and prescription drugs in his possession.

A driver was arrested for DUI in the Basin after failing the Field Sobriety Tests.

A woman was transported to the University of Utah Medical Center from the Basin after attempting suicide.

A Kimball Junction bar manager reported that two individuals left without paying after attempting to pay for their drinks with a Walmart gift card. Deputies did not locate the suspects but know who they are. The investigation is ongoing.

A Kimball Junction mother reported her juvenile daughter had drug-related messages on her phone.

On Tuesday, Dec. 11, a man struck a vehicle from behind in Summit Park after attempting to retrieve an item from the floor. Two vehicles received moderate damage and one driver was transported to the Park City Medical Center after complaining of arm pain.

Another collision occurred in Summit Park, when a turning vehicle struck another head-on at a yield sign. Both vehicles received moderate damage.

On Monday, Dec. 10, a trailer that was stolen in 2008 was located in the backyard of a Basin home. The trailer was released to the owner.

A woman was acting strangely in a Kimball Junction store and, because of her comments, was deemed to be suicidal. She was transported to the University of Utah Medical Center for treatment.
