Kristin Chenoweth's New Year's Eve concert is sold out
Kristin Chenoweth's New Year's Eve concert scheduled at the Eccles Center for the Performing Arts 1750 Kearns Blvd., is sold out. The concert is produced by the Park City Performing Arts Foundation. Ticket are still available for the foundation's remaining 2012-13 season, including Sara Watkins and Ruth Moody on Jan. 5, and Anna Deavere Smith on Jan. 12. 'A Christmas Carol on The Air'
"A Christmas Carol" will be retold as part of a live production called "A Christmas Carol: on the Air" at the Egyptian Theatre, 328 Main St., on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 9:30 p.m. Additional performances will be Dec. 20 through Dec. 22 at 9:30 p.m. and Dec. 22 at 6 p.m. The production is an original work, starring Utah Shakespeare Festival Founder Fred C. Beethoven Festival Winter Concert
The Park Chamber Music Society's Beethoven Festival will present a winter concert at Park City Community Church, 4501 S.R. 224, on Saturday, Dec. 22, at 7:30 p.m. Performers include violinists Monte Belknap and Rachel Otler, soprano Serena Kanig Benish, clarinetist Russell Harlow, violist Leslie Harlow, cellist Garrick Woods and pianist Bryan Stanley. Second Annual Utah Birders Park City Christmas Bird Count
The second annual Utah Birders Park City Christmas bird count will be held Saturday, Dec. 22, from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Throughout the areas from Jordanelle north to Jeremy Ranch and from Summit Park east to Rockport and Peoa. The Christmas Bird Count (CBC) is a census of birds performed annually in December and January by volunteer birders. The purpose is to provide population data for use in science, especially conservation biology - though many people participate just for fun.
