Chee Wern Saeteurn, 43, from Sacramento, Calif., was in the passenger seat. Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Neil Ekberg had reason to believe the van contained narcotics, so he searched it and discovered 62 one-pound packages of high-grade marijuana spread throughout the van in boxes and bags.
Saeteurn was charged with third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. On Monday, the court ordered him to serve 62 days in jail, then be released to his home in California.
Both Hildebran and Goodhue were charged Dec. 12 with third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Hildebran has a roll call hearing on Jan. 14. Goodhue's roll call hearing is scheduled Jan. 28.
During a probable cause search, Luangsawasdi located 16 pounds of marijuana in the trunk's spare tire compartment, as well as two recent DEA cash seizure forms in the glove box and a small amount of marijuana in Barnett's pant pocket.
Barnett was charged Dec. 11, with third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. His initial court appearance is scheduled Jan. 28.
