Tickets to the Sundance Film Festival's Best of Fest screenings in Park City were snapped up by late in the morning on Saturday.

They were distributed by 11:30 a.m. Nobody was in line when the last tickets were given out at the main box office in the Gateway Center in Old Town. A few people, though, arrived shortly afterward inquiring about availability.

The Best of Fest screenings in Park City are scheduled at the Eccles Center on the evening of Jan. 28, the day after the end of the festival. Two movies are scheduled to be shown that evening.

Tickets for the Townie Tuesday screenings ran out Saturday morning as well.

Festival organizers see the Best of Fest and Townie Tuesday screenings as opportunities for Parkites to obtain tickets that are set aside for people who live locally.
