School released on MLK
School will be released on Monday, Jan. 21 in the Park City School District, North Summit School District and South Summit School District to honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a federal holiday.
Builders Club first meeting
The Treasure Mountain Junior High School is scheduled to hold its first Builders Club meeting Wednesday, Jan. 16 from 2:45 to 3:45pm in Room 11 at TMJHS. The Builders Club is an international, student-led organization that will provide members with opportunities to perform community service, build character and develop leadership. Dual Immersion Registration
The Park City School District will begin the registration process for its elementray school dual immersion programs. Registration documents for the 2013-14 school year will be available after the registration meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 12. The meeting will be held at Ecker Hill Middle School at 7 p.m. where the state model, registration, lottery process and wait list will be explained to parents and guardians. The application deadline is March 8, 2013. The Park City School District is currently accepting applications for the wait list only.
Sweetheart Gala tickets on sale
Community members can now buy tickets to the 9th Annual Sweetheart Gala hosted by the PCHS Music Department and the Park City Education Foundation. The event is a big band dinner and dance fundraiser for the Park City High School bands and is scheduled to be held Friday, Feb. 8 from 6 to 11 p.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church. The event will feature the PCHS Varsity Jazz Ensemble. Tickets prices range from $50 for individual tickets to $600 for a premium dance floor table.
