A vehicle slid off Chalk Creek Road in Coalville on Sunday, Jan. 13 and rolled into the creek. One occupant was transported with a back injury.
On Saturday, Jan. 12, an intoxicated female was in a Kimball Junction hotel lobby trying to get a room and was a nuisance, according to the Sheriff's Report. When deputies arrived, the female agreed to leave the hotel. When she went outside, however, she became hostile. Deputies placed her under arrest for intoxication, but she resisted arrest and refused to be placed in handcuffs. Deputies placed her in a wrist lock in order to put her into the handcuffs. She was transported and booked into the Summit County Jail.
On Friday, Jan. 11, a large shed in North Summit caught fire and burned to the ground. Firefighters were able to put out the blaze before it spread to other buildings. Deputies were unable to locate the owner.
On Thursday, Jan. 10, a Summit Park woman reported that someone stole several items from her storage shed. She believes that while she was helping a friend, he stole her keys, made a copy, and then used it to take the items.
On Tuesday, Jan. 8, a man reported he suspected someone has been trespassing in his Wasatch National Forest cabin. He said his utility bill was too high and that the power company said someone was probably staying in the cabin.
On Monday, Jan.
