In an unrelated call, a North Summit woman said she left her vehicle to confront a neighbor standing in her yard, her vehicle, which was left in reverse, crashed into a trailer across the street.
On Sunday, Feb. 3, a Basin resident reported that a male, about 19 years old, had walked into the house at about 3 a.m. The homeowner said the male had a thin build and drives a grey four-door vehicle.
On Saturday, Feb. 2, a driver came around a corner too fast on East Canyon Road and slid off the road. The vehicle rolled down the hill and came to a rest next to the creek. The driver was checked by medical personnel and released to his parents.
On Friday, Feb. 1, a teen was injured when his rifle exploded. He was target shooting in North Summit when the rifle's receiver burst. The teen sustained hand injuries, according to the Sheriff's Report.
On Thursday, Jan. 31, a deputy saw a man driving over the fog line for an extended period of time on I-80. When the deputy pulled him over and approached the car, he smelled alcohol. The driver admitted to drinking and failed the field sobriety tests. His blood alcohol level was 0.11. The legal limit is 0.08.
A South Summit man failed to update his address on the sex offender registry.
On Wednesday, Jan. 30, a man reported that his vehicle was stolen from a Kimball Junction parking structure. He had left his keys in the ignition with the door unlocked while he removed snow in the area.
On Tuesday, Jan. 29, deputies observed a woman making several lane violations on S.R. 224. After being pulled over, she showed signs of impairment and failed the field sobriety tests. She was arrested and booked into the Summit County Jail.
After being pulled over on I-80, a driver attempted to destroy a controlled substance, spice. He was arrested and booked into the Summit County Jail.
