Mormons Building Bridges Presents: Community Conversations

Mormons Building Bridges announces an ongoing series of public discussions around issues of interest to the LGBT and LDS community. Every month on the same night, they will hold meetings in public libraries along the Wasatch front. Their goal is to create a safe space where individuals of all backgrounds and philosophies can come together and join in civil discourse.

April’s Question: Should the Boy Scouts of America lift the ban on LGBT individuals?

A moderator from Mormons Building Bridges will facilitate a conversation where all participants will have the opportunity to speak their truth. The evening will not be about trying to change anyone’s mind, but rather a chance to share how you approach the issue, and listen respectfully to the approaches of others. These meetings are grounded in the conviction that the human experience is complex and progress only comes when one listens, loves, and seeks to understand. The event will take place at 7 pm on Tuesday, April 23rd, at the Park City Library: Room 218 and everyone is welcome.
