The Park Record

According to the Summit County Attorney’s Office, the following cases were heard on May 18 in the Third District Court at the Summit County Justice Center:

Talon Jakob Bolli, 19, of Taylorsville, Utah, entered into a plea in abeyance for 12 months for attempted wrongful appropriation, a Class A misdemeanor. The court ordered the defendant to pay restitution of $3,361 jointly and severally with co-defendants, complete 20 hours of community service and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Julie Chamberlein, 52, of Park City, Utah, entered into a plea in abeyance for six months for attempted possession or use of a controlled Substance, a Class A misdemeanor. The court ordered the defendant to pay a fee of $350 and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Jacob M Clair, 31, of Hayden, Idaho, entered into a plea in abeyance for 12 months for assault, a Class B misdemeanor. The court ordered the defendant to pay a fee of $500 and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Pharoh Coleman, 39, of Yuba, California, entered a plea of guilty to possession or use of a controlled substance, a third-degree felony. The court imposed a zero-to-five year sentence at the Utah State Prison and a $5,000 fine. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on court probation for 18 months and ordered the defendant to serve 44 days in jail with credit for two days served, and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Joseph C Read, 48, of Coalville, Utah, entered a plea of guilty to purchase, transfer, possession, and use of a firearm by a restricted person, a third-degree felony. The court imposed a zero-to-five year sentence at the Utah State Prison and a $5,000 fine. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on court probation for 18 months and ordered the defendant to pay a fine of $750 and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Brett A. Strikwerda, 53, of Wanship, Utah, pled guilty to attempted failure to register as a sex offender, a Class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a 365-day-jail sentence and a $2,500 fine. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on supervised probation for 36 months and ordered the defendant to serve 90 days of home confinement, be outfitted with a GPS ankle monitoring unit, and complete standard terms and conditions.

Brent S White, 33, of Atwater, California, entered a plea of no contest to attempted possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, a third-degree felony. The court imposed a zero-to-five year sentence at the Utah State Prison and a $5,000 fine. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on court probation for 12 months and ordered the defendant to serve 55 days in jail, with credit for 43 days served, and complete other standard terms and conditions.
