The Friends of the Park City Library Author Luncheon will be held at Deer Valley's Silver Lake Lodge on Monday, Oct. 10. Doors open at 11 a.m. Lily Yuriko Nakai Havey, author of "Gasa Gasa Girl Goes to Camp: A Nisei Youth Behind a World War II Fence," will be the featured guest. Havey, a Japanese-American, was incarcerated in two World War II internment camps from 1942 to the end of World War II. After the War, she and her family moved to Salt Lake City. Havey graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music and pursued and earned an MFA at the University of Utah. She taught English, creative writing and humanities for 13 years at high school level.
