The Rockport Old Church at Rockport State Park in Wanship will be the site of the Spring Contra Dance on Saturday, April 5, from 7:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. All dances are taught and dancers rotate partners through each dance so there is no need to bring a partner. The calling will be by Will Aoki and music will be performed by Loose Shoes and the Rockport Dam Band. Teaching workshop will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the dancing will start at 8 p.m. Admission $5 per person and proceeds benefit Friends of Rockport Old Church. Little Naturalists: Story Time at the Swaner EcoCenter
The Swaner EcoCenter, 1258 Center Dr. at Kimball Junction, will present a Little Naturalists story time on Monday, April 7, at 10 a.m. The books will be "Sellaluna" by Janell Cannon and "Bat Loves the Night" by Nicole Davies. Newcomers Club of Greater Park City
Newcomers Club of Greater Park City will host a coffee on Wednesday, April 9, at Park City Community Church, 4501 S.R. 224, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The guest speakers will be Mary Closser, a nutritionist from Recycle Utah, and Teri Underwood, founder of Sustainable Diets.
