Wine & Swine Pig Roast Fundraiser for Peace House

The annual Wine & Swine Pig Roast fundraiser for Peace House will be held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 4595 Silver Springs Dr., on Saturday, May 2, at 6 p.m. The event will feature a barbecue dinner, ice cream sundae bar, games for the kids and live music by Dusty Boxcars. The event is free, but donations will be accepted. RSVPs aren’t necessary, but helpful. RSVPs can be made by calling 801-597-8560.

Hazardous Waste Collection

Recycle Utah will host its annual hazardous waste collection at Canyons Resort on Saturday, May 2. Residential waste will be collected from 9 a.m. until noon. Business waste will be collected from noon to 1 p.m. The primary goal is to keep toxic chemicals and heavy metals out of the environment. When toxic materials like mercury, lead, and pesticides end up in the landfill they leech into the ground and into drinking water. For more information, visit http://www.recycleutah.org.

Spring Cleaning Garage Sale Donation Collection

Park City Community Church, 4501 N. S.R. 224, will start collecting items every Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon that will be sold during its spring cleaning garage sale in June. Most items will be accepted, except for electronics, ski equipment, mattresses, stuffed animals, or undergarments. For more information, contact Park City Community Church by calling 435-649-8131.

Giving a Bleep’s Chickfest

Dry Baby Bums Fundraiser

Dry Baby Bums, a nonprofit dedicated to providing disposable diapers, wipes and diaper cream to local shelters, will host a masquerade fundrdaiser at the Riverhorse on Main, 540 Main St., on Sunday, May 3, from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The event will feature a silent auction, dancing, appetizers, a cash bar and music provided by FunkeeBoss. Attendees who bring a box of diapers will be entered into an opportunity drawing for a $250 gift certificate at Prime Steak House. Proceeds will buy diapers for the Christian Center, the People’s Health Clinic and Peace House. Tickets and masks can be purchased by calling 949-616-5051 or by visiting http://www.drybabybums.org .
