'My Utah My Landscape' Painting Contest

The Kimball Art Center is accepting entries for it’s "My Utah My Landscape’ painting contest through Nov. 17. Any Utah-based student in grades kindergarten through 12 are eligible to enter. Reel Rock 8 Film Tour

The Reel Rock 8 Film Tour will make a stop at the Jim Santy Auditorium in the Park City Library and Education Center, 1255 Park Ave., on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 7:30 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance and the Access Fund. The night will include film screenings of "The Sensei," "Spice Girl," "High Tension: Ueli Steck and the Clash on Everest" and "The Stone Masters." The film contain adult language and content. Project for Deeper Understanding: Utah Liquor Laws

On Thursday, Nov. 7, the Project for Deeper Understanding will host a public forum on the liquor laws in Utah at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church , 4595 Silver Springs Dr. from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Rep. Kraig Powell will serve as moderator. The evening will begin with a history of Utah liquor legislation followed by panel discussion and audience Q&A. The 41st Annual Park City Ski Swap and Sale

Basin Recreation’s 41st annual Park City ski swap and sale will be held from Friday, Nov. 8, through Sunday, Nov. 10,at the Basin Recreation Fieldhouse, 1388 New Main St., at Kimball Junciton. Friday’s hours are 8 p.m. until 1 a.m., Saturday’s hours are from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday’s hours are 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Early Equipment check-in runs through Nov 7 at Jans and Cole Sport Park Ave Locations and will continue Friday, Nov 8, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Basin Fieldhouse.
