Jan. 22: The Sundance Institute hosted special student screenings with local schools during the film festival. On Tuesday, students screened "The Crash Reel" at Redstone Theatre. We spoke to three South Summit Seniors about the film.

  • Best of Fest Screenings: Sundance Film Festival's Best of Fest tickets will be available for Utah residents on Saturday, Jan. 12, and Sunday, Jan. 13, at the Sundance main box office at the Gateway in Park City from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Best of Fest tickets, limited to two per person, are free while they last.   • Townie Tuesday Screenings: Townie Tuesday tickets will be available for Summit County residents only at the Park City box office Saturday, Jan. 12, and Sunday, Jan. 13, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Townie Tuesday tickets, limited to two per person, are free while they last. More information.

  • Kimball Art Center Closed: The Kimball Art Center, 638 Park Ave., is closed and will be transformed into the Sundance House, presented by HP, during the 2013 Sundance Film Festival that will run from Thursday, Jan. 17, through Saturday, Jan. 26.

    The Sundance House will be open from Jan. 17 through Jan. 25 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sundance House will be completely wireless and will give festival goers a chance to experience the latest in HP¹s interactive technology. The venue will be open to all festival credential holders and the general public as space allows. More information.


  • Park City Museum Closed: The Park City Museum, 528 Main St., will be closed during the Sundance Film Festival beginning Wednesday, Jan. 16, and ending Sunday, Jan. 27. The space will be used for the Acura Studio and open to credentialed festivalgoers. The Museum will reopen on Monday, Jan. 28. More information.

  • The Rich Haines Gallery Closed: The Rich Haines Gallery, 751 Main St., will be closed during the Sundance Film Festival to become the ASCAP Music Café from Friday, Jan. 18, through Friday, Jan. 25. The venue will serve as a showcase to emerging and established artists including Sea Wolf, Dave Mason and Rammy Essam, and will be open to all Sundance Film Festival credential holders.
