Cheers for freestyler Kendal Johnson
Nice article in the Wisconsin Journal Sentinel about Kendal Johnson's meteoric rise in aerial freestyles. http://www.jsonline.com/sports/skys-the-limit-for-wisconsin-ski-aerialist-b99180874z1-239525161.html. The WJS describes his ascension as going from the couch to the flying pan in 31/2 years. Keep an eye on him if not now then his future in world competition. He has a trick in which he has yet to land in the snow or name that many thought was impossible. It's a full-in left, double-out right. I think he should call it the Cyclone Equator Crossing or Hurricane Equator Crossing. It's an impossible phenomenon because it would require the storm to switch it's rotational direction as it crosses the equator just like his trick. Good luck to Kendal Johnson proving to the world the impossible is possible.

Utah leaders are being mean spirited
Your editorial says it all.
We were honored to be asked to stand in and be witnesses at the same-sex marriage of two of our dearest friends, who have been together for 23 years. To see their joy and love for each other as they took their vows gave us a feeling of extreme happiness.
The state of Utah is on the wrong side of history. This ban will surely be overturned, probably sooner than later.
My wife and I have been married more than 50 years. We believe same sex couples should have the same right to happiness as we do.
Same-sex marriage debate recalls the Civil War
When it came to personal rights, the 10th amendment did not fly with President Lincoln vis a vis slavery. So far it has not worked for the good Judge Shelby or the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. We shall see what happens at the U. S. Supreme Court.
