Another files to run for P.C. Mayor
July 1, 2009
Diania Turner has filed candidate papers for the mayor’s office in Park City, formalizing a campaign that she had announced nearly a year ago.
Turner, a shuttle company owner, is the third person to become a mayoral candidate in the first three hours of the filing window of this year’s City Hall election. Mayor Dana Williams and former Mayor Brad Olch filed their papers earlier on Wednesday.
A primary election will be held in September to reduce the field to two for Election Day in November.
Meanwhile, Old Town activist John Stafsholt on Wednesday morning formalized his campaign for the Park City Council. He had previously indicated he would be a candidate. Alex Butwinski, who closely monitors City Hall, has also formalized his City Council campaign. He had also previously disclosed his intentions to run.
