The Utah Department of Workforce Services is hosting informational meetings titled, "Utah’s ‘New’ Immigration Laws ‘How they might affect your business,’" at several locations. Immigration attorney Roger Tsai with Parsons Behle & Latimer will present information on the Form I-9 and new regulations and employment eligibility verification issues; how Utah’s immigration laws have changed; how to prepare for audits and raids; I-9 verification requirements; problem-solving common mistakes that could lead to serious fines and criminal penalties; E-Verify and why to use it; and what to do if you receive a "no match" letter from the Social Security Administration. The Park City session will be August 10 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the ballroom in Hotel Park City. Seating is limited so registration is required. Park City Chamber/Bureau members should register through the Chamber/Bureau. Others can email Registration@utah.gov or contacting Kassy Hart at 801-468-0011.
