IRS announces 2015 electronic tax filing dates

The Internal Revenue Service has announced when it will begin accepting tax filings. According to a press release, the IRS will start taking electronic tax returns beginning Jan. 20. Filing electronically is the most accurate way to file a tax return and also the fastest way to get a return. "There is no advantage to people filing tax returns on paper in early January instead of waiting for e-file to begin," the release states.

Leadership Park City holds Leadership 101 class

Leadership Park City is holding its 18th annual Leadership 101 class. According to a newsletter, the class will inform people about current issues in Park City and is perfect for people wanting to get involved in town. The class, which costs $30, will be held Feb. 4 at the Yarrow Hotel & Conference Center and will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The class will include lunch and refreshments.
