Winter Break for the Park City School District is scheduled to run from Dec. 24 through Jan.1. An early release day is scheduled for Dec. 21. Normal school hours will resume on Jan. 2. The Park City Aquatic Center will be closed for the same hours.

Library Craft Time
The Kimball Junction branch of the Summit County Library is scheduled to host a "Happy Holiday Craft Time" on Friday, Dec. 21 from 4 to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 22 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The library is located at 1885 West Ute Blvd. The craft event is open to children of all ages, but parents of younger children are asked to provide an adult helper. Eighth grade SEOP
Treasure Mountain Junior High School is scheduled to begin taking appointments from eighth-grades students for the Utah State Office of Education "Student Education Occupation Plan" program starting Wednesday, Jan. 3. Students may schedule an appointment at the TMJHS Counselors Office, where school counselors will help prepare students to prepare an individual education plan by exploring possibilities, planning for education and career goals and reviewing progress toward achieving those goals.
The Park City Board of Education will begin its search for a new superintendent next month and as part of that search, parents, community members and school district staff will be appointed to a committee to help in find a candidate. Those interested in being considered for the committee are asked to submit a letter with background information and a brief statement on why they are applying to serve the committee.
