According to Summit County Prosecuting Attorney Matthew Bates, Antonio Patrick Contreras, 31, from Summit Park, pled guilty Monday, May 6 to one count of committing an act of domestic violence in the presence of a child and one count of violating a protective order.

On April 14, a deputy responded to a report of a domestic assault in progress.

The female said she came home after he called and threatened to kill the children, and then her and himself. When she arrived home, he reportedly punched, then continued to physically assault her.

According to the charging documents, when she tried to run away, he grabbed a butcher knife and threatened to kill her. He chased her as she broke through the screen door, yelling for help. A neighbor heard the scream and watched her break through the screen door.

Two children were present at the time the events allegedly occurred.

Contreras faces charges of third-degree aggravated assault, two counts of third-degree felony commission of domestic violence in the presence of a child, class A misdemeanor assault and class B misdemeanor threat of violence.

While he was in custody awaiting resolution of his charges, the court entered a protective order prohibiting him from contacting his girlfriend.

Despite the order, he made several calls to her while in jail. His sentencing hearing his scheduled Jun 17.

  • Kevin Neal Duffy, 33, from West Valley, was charged with a DUI and reckless endangerment for driving the wrong way on Interstate 80 while intoxicated.

    Duffy was charged with class A misdemeanor reckless endangerment and class B misdemeanor driver under the influence of alcohol or drugs. His initial court appearance is scheduled June 10.

  • Lindsay Lemone, 29, from Lindon, was charged with burglarizing a home.

    Lemone was charged with second-degree felony burglary, second-degree felony theft and third degree felony theft. A warrant was issued May 2.

  • Christian Lee Howerton, 39, of Richmond, Va.; Christopher Nathanie Guzman, 26, of Fort Meyers, Fla.; Silkia Rodriguez, 27, of Fort Meyers, Fla.; and Quentin Lamontaz Hyde, 26, of Lehigh Acres, Fla., are all facing drug-related charges.

    Howerton was charged with third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance and class B misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. His initial court appearance is June 10.

    Guzman was charged with second-degree felony possession of drugs with intent to distribute. His court appearance is scheduled June 10.

    Rodriguez faces charges of second-degree felony possession of drugs with intent to distribute and class A misdemeanor alter a vehicle compartment for contraband. Rodriguez's initial court appearance is schedule June 3.

    Hyde was charged with third-degree felony possession with intent to distribute. His court appearance is scheduled June 10.
