A police officer in Park City last week stopped a person on a skateboard after seeing the skateboarder riding in the middle of a busy road.

It was the second time in less than a week that a skateboarder was stopped after an officer saw a violation of traffic laws.

The Police Department said an officer saw the skateboarder in the middle of Deer Valley Drive at 7:03 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15. The skateboarder was close to the 700 block of Main Street, according to public police logs.

The logs did not indicate which direction the skateboarder was riding. Northbound on Deer Valley Drive is slightly downhill, though, making for an easier skateboard ride.

The logs said the skateboarder was impeding traffic, leading the officer to pull the person over.

In the earlier case, on May 9, an officer pulled over a skateboarder along the 1000 block of Park Avenue. The officer saw the skateboarder weaving across traffic lanes, the police said.
