On Sunday, Aug. 11 at 3:30 p.m., the police received a report that a youngster might have attempted to shoplift at a store somewhere along Lowell Avenue. Public police logs did not provide details, but the youngster was apparently inside the store when the police were contacted.
A hit-and-run accident was reported in the China Bridge garage at 2:15 p.m. The accident happened the night before, the police were told.
On Saturday, Aug. 10 at 10:28 p.m., the police received a complaint that a driver was unable to stay in one lane in the vicinity of the intersection of Deer Valley Drive and Park Avenue. The police attempted to locate the driver, but it was unclear from public police logs whether the driver was found.
Someone contacted the police at 7 p.m. disputing a parking ticket on the 400 block of Main Street. The person told the police he was parked off the street. He wanted an officer to take a picture of the situation.
At 12:15 p.m., the police received a report of a hit-and-run accident on the 1800 block of Sidewinder Drive. The accident occurred approximately 30 minutes before the police were contacted.
The police at 4:23 p.m. received a complaint from someone on Annie Oakley Drive about a person driving a pickup truck. The truck was loud, the person told the police. The police were told the person inside the truck had a flashlight and was looking into an open garage door. The caller told the police they had not seen the person before.
A case classified as disorderly conduct was reported at 1:22 a.m. on the 600 block of Main Street. Public police logs did not provide details.
The police were called to the 700 block of Main Street at 1:18 a.m., when a large group of people were reportedly seen on a balcony. A large object was thrown from the balcony, the police were told. The police classified the case as disorderly conduct.
Fireworks were reported at 12:33 a.m. on the 1300 block of Lowell Avenue.
On Friday, Aug. 9 at 11:29 p.m., a wallet was found on the 1800 block of Park Avenue and turned in to the police.

A hit-and-run traffic accident was reported on the 1700 block of Bonanza Drive, apparently in a parking lot, at 7:19 a.m. A witness left a note.
On Thursday, Aug. 8 at 11:27 a.m., the police received a report that 22 stakes used by surveyors had been removed. They were apparently placed near trees on or just off Silver Lake Drive. The police classified the case as criminal mischief.
A disorderly conduct case was reported on the 400 block of Main Street at 12:51 a.m. Public police logs did not provide details.
A skunk was seen on the 1800 block of Kearns Boulevard at 12:13 a.m.
On Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 8:32 p.m., a gas leak was reported on the 1300 block of Woodside Avenue.
The police at 6:42 p.m. received a complaint from someone on Royal Street that two fraudulent charges were made on a debit card in Tucson, Ariz. Public police logs did not provide details.
At 5:20 p.m., the police received a report that graffiti was found on a waterworks building in Empire Canyon. Red and black paint was used, the police were told.
The police at 3:12 p.m. received a report that a vehicle was scratched with a key on Main Street sometime within an hour of the police being contacted.
On Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 4:33 p.m., a wallet was found on the 200 block of Heber Avenue and turned in to the police.
Two bicycles were reportedly seen abandoned in the weeds along the 1900 block of Prospector Avenue at 11:22 a.m.
Fireworks were reported on the 2300 block of Calumet Circle at 4:04 a.m.
On Monday, Aug. 5 at 7:52 p.m., a mountain bike was reportedly found on the 100 block of Dunlop Court.
At 2:19 p.m., the police received a complaint that heavy machinery was idling for two hours along the 1400 block of Empire Avenue.
