Between Wednesday, Sept. 25, and Monday, Sept. 30, the Summit County Sheriff's Office responded to calls including the following:
A woman left her son's bicycle in front of an apartment complex in North Summit. She reported it to be missing in case it was found abandoned.
A woman in the Snyderville Basin reported to dispatch that her grandmother was found deceased in her bed.
Two juveniles got into an argument at a house in the Basin, with the female juvenile later assaulting the male juvenile. The male's parents decided not to sign a complaint for assault at the time.
A 19-year-old male moved out of his house in July, giving his parents an address in Salt Lake where he was moving. The parents are unable to contact him and the address he gave was incorrect. The male was listed on a missing persons report.
Deputies were asked to investigate a possible rape on the west side of the county.
A vehicle parked in front of a Snyderville Basin business was found to have two occupants, a male and a juvenile. The deputies smelled the odor of marijuana and a search of the vehicle produced a user amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The owner of a 1999 silver Dodge Durango reported that it was stolen. The vehicle was left in an open garage in the Basin with the keys inside of it. A deputy was unable to locate any evidence at the scene.
A deputy located an abandoned vehicle in a parking lot at Kimball Junction. The driver's side front axle was broken and the license plates were removed.
A complainant reported that a 6 ft. by 10 ft. snowmobile trailer was removed from a community parking area in the Basin. The snowmobile on the trailer was pulled off before the trailer was taken and there were no suspects at the time. The trailer has a Pinebrook Community decal on its tongue.
Deputies were dispatched to a report of verbal domestic violence in the Basin. Contact was made with the two individuals, but it was determined that no crime had occurred.
A report of theft was received from a Kimball Junction business. An employee stated that five males in their 20s entered the business, allegedly stealing a hat and a ring from a display. The employee said her manager would have to access the video to confirm that they had stolen the items.
A deputy was dispatched to a physical domestic violence call in which the parties had been separated on Interstate 80. A father had left his son on the side of I-80. The son had injuries but the father could not be contacted via phone. Charges will be pressed against the father.
A man in the Basin called to report that while he was out of town, someone entered his home and stole items, also appearing to have had a party.
A man in the Basin was found to be intoxicated and a danger to his family. There were no signs of physical violence and the man was arrested and booked into the Summit County Jail.
A man in a gray striped jacket and shorts went into a Kimball Junction business and stole two tablets and an e-reader. He left in a red truck, which could have been a Toyota or a Chevrolet.
