Donald Rollo Putman
Donald Rollo Putman Sr. passed away Oct. 29, 2009, of a stroke. Born April 5, 1932, in Park City, Utah, to Rollo Lincoln and Ruby Fern Ryan Putman. He married Judy Ann Wilson on June 18, 1955, in Heber City, Utah, making 54 wonderful years together.
Don graduated from Park City High School 1952, after which he entered the Navy, and served until he was honorably discharged. He was employed by the U.S. Forest Service, Park City ski resorts and Park City Corp., and retired in 1996. He was a member of the Park City Elks and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He is survived by loving wife and four children: Sharon Randie (Lance) Higgs of Heber; Paula Dawn Laurie of Park City; Donald R. Putman Jr. of Park City, and Christopher John Putman of Salt Lake City; five grandchildren: Shane, Ali, Ashley, Kaylan and Chevy; one great-grandchild: Paysen; and sister Betty Williams. He was preceded in death by grandparents; parents; three brothers: Wayne, Boyd, and Ray; two sisters: Elaine, and Sharon; one granddaughter, Sky Lynne Higgs.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 11:00 a.m. at the Silver Creek LDS Ward, 510 East Silver Summit Parkway, Park City, Utah. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church, and Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow the services in the Park City Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home.
