A driver and a bicyclist collided on Kearns Boulevard midday on Wednesday, the Park City Police Department said, an accident that required the person riding the bicycle to be taken to the hospital.
Phil Kirk, a police captain, said the bicyclist suffered injuries to the face and possibly broken bones. The bicyclist is an adult male who was wearing a helmet, Kirk said. Further information about the person was not immediately available.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:15 p.m. Kirk said the bicyclist was riding westbound on Kearns Boulevard close to the Park Avenue intersection. The driver was headed eastbound on Kearns Boulevard and turned left into a parking lot when the collision occurred, Kirk said.
An ambulance took the bicyclist to Park City Medical Center, Kirk said. The Utah Highway Patrol is investigating.
