Driver crashes onto Bonanza Drive median

A driver accidentally went onto the Bonanza Drive median Monday while trying to make a turn, ending up with the van stuck and partially suspended on the artwork that decorates the median.
The Park City Police Department said the driver was exiting a driveway just off the Kearns Boulevard intersection and tried to make a sharp turn left toward Kearns Boulevard. The driver overcorrected and hit the median, the police said.
Nobody was injured. The police closed Bonanza Drive in both directions and shut down the Bonanza Drive intersections with Kearns Boulevard and Prospector Avenue while emergency crews were at the scene. The Park City Fire District responded as a precaution.
A cutting torch was used to dislodge the van from the artwork, the police said.
