Lisa Philips named to Dean’s List, Wozniak graduates from Rowland Hall with honors, Aimee Murphy graduates from Oregon State

LISA PHILIPS NAMED TO DEAN’S LIST

Lisa Phillips of Midway has been recognized on the Dean’s List at Norwich University for the spring 2011 semester. According to a press release, Norwich University located in Northfield, VT., is the oldest private military college in the U.S.

CAROLYN WOZNIAK GRADUATES WITH HONORS

Park City resident Carolyn Wozniak was named valedictorian for the 2011 graduating class at Rowland Hall – St. Mark’s School in Salt Lake City. Wozniak received the Rowland Hall Bishop’s Award, a gift of the Alumni Association to the student with the highest academic record in the graduating class, as well as the Michael G. Koetter Mathematics Award for outstanding achievement in mathematics. Wozniak was also named to the all-state academic soccer team. She will study mechanical engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass., in the fall.

AIMEE MURPHY GRADUATES FROM OREGON STATE

Aimee Murphy graduated on June 11 from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in human development and family sciences with honors. Murphy graduated with academic distinction, summa cum laude, maintaining a 3.85 academic GPA for her course work. She volunteered to spend one school quarter assisting and instructing the staff and students at the Hobbiton School and Child Development Center in Quito, Ecuador. Murphy is a graduate from the Park City School District. She is preparing to commence work on her master’s degree.
