Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter seeking volunteers, Jeremy Ranch parent reminders, Ecker Hill lost and found update

SWANER NEEDS VOLUNTEERS

Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter is in need of volunteers to help run the visitor’s center, lead educational programs, and help with land and restoration projects. Current volunteer positions include a field-trip leader, climbing wall host, a naturalist to lead nature walks and snowshoe tours, and a program leader for the Little Naturalists reading program. For more information about the Swaner volunteer program or to apply for a volunteer position, visit http://www.swanerecocenter.org.

JRES PARENT REMINDERS

Gently used spirit wear can be donated back to Jeremy Ranch Elementary school. There is a dropoff box in the front lobby. Students are required to wear their spirit wear every Friday. Smith’s grocery store cards linked to JRES can help earn money for the school. Fresh Market receipts are still being collected in the box located in the front lobby. JRES can earn another $500 this year for filling the box. Parents are also encouraged to collect box tops and Campbell’s labels and bring them to the school.
