Parent Information Night at Ecker Hill, Summit County Library to host movie night, North Summit School District offers online service
PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT ON JAN. 4
The Park City School District will offer Parent Information Night for people wanting to learn more about the school district’s dual-immersion program. A promotional video featuring the Park City School District will also be shown. There will be a question and answer session with administrators, teachers and parents of existing dual-immersion students. MOVIE NIGHT AT THE SUMMIT COUNTY LIBRARY
The Summit County Library in Kimball Junction will be showing Walt Disney’s "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" on Thursday, Dec. 29 from 6 7:30 p.m., on the big screen in the auditorium. Admission is free. For more information contact the Summit County Library at (435) 615-3900.
NORTH SUMMIT OFFERS ONLINE SERVICE
North Summit School District is offering an online service through the Utah Child Protection Registry that helps protect family addresses, including email addresses, mobile phone numbers, Instant Messenger IDs and fax numbers. The program is free and helps stop adult-oriented solicitations from being targeted to families. For more information visit the North Summit School District website at http://www.nsummit.org .
Park City School District contracts for AI gun detection service
Park City School District will pay $546,000 over the next five years for ZeroEyes, a software company that uses artificial intelligence to detect brandished firearms, to monitor 650 cameras in all 12 schools.
