Canyons to give avalanche talk at Treasure Mountain, Child Development workshops at Summit County Library, Kids Yoga through the school district

CANYONS TO HOST AVALANCHE TALK AT TMJH

Canyons Ski Patrol in conjunction with the Utah Avalanche Center will host a free avalanche talk at Treasure Mountain Junior High School on Friday, Jan. 6 at 6:30 p.m. Director of the Utah Avalanche Center Bruce Tremper will speak about the "The Science of Avalanches."

CHILD DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS AT SUMMIT COUNTY LIBRARY

The Summit County Library in Kimball Junction will offer free child development workshops for parents through January. Dr. Joyce Gerber will talk with parents about age-appropriate activities for child development on Thursday, Jan. 12, from 7 to 8:15 p.m. For more information or to register contact Joe at (435) 615-3902.

The Park City School District Community Education Compass program will offer Kids Yoga with Randi Jo from Jan. 23 through Mar. 29, for kindergarten through fifth-graders. Classes will be held at Parley’s Park Elementary School, Trailside Elementary School and Jeremy Ranch Elementary School throughout the week.
