Elizabeth "Betty" Collomb

Elizabeth "Betty" Collomb passed away peacefully in her Park City home Thursday morning, Jan. 31.

Betty struggled with debilitating rheumatoid arthritis for many years; however, she faced every day with no complaints and a smile on her face.

Born in Baltimore on Aug. 7, 1928, Betty thoroughly enjoyed her mountain community. She would walk daily around the Park City Mountain Resort area or, during winter months, the Snyderville Basin Recreation Center. To those people who were respectful and kind, thank you. Betty delighted in the courtesy and thoughtfulness of those actions.

When her health permitted, Betty would attend St. Luke’s Episcopal Church where again, kindness exuded and everyone welcomed her. She gained great calm, yet energy, from the services and congregation.

Accomplished in real-estate development, Betty spent many years in Boulder, Colo., where she raised two accomplished, entrepreneurial children of whom she was exceptionally proud.

Betty will be remembered for her dry and endearing wit, her strength and her commitment to family. Goodbye mother, grandmother, sister, friend and mentor. We will miss you to no end.
