Sitting on more than 200 acres and backing the Weber River, the Riverbend Ranch near Oakley was designed to impress. And owner Doug Dohring is confident the luxury home a 16,800 square foot, fully-furnished, fully-stocked estate will continue to impress incoming bidders as the property goes to live auction next week.
"We decided to build something that basically paralleled the river all the way down," Dohring said. " you can fly fish right off the back porch."
The ranch will be the first home Concierge Auctions, a luxury real estate auctioning firm, will sell in Summit County. As a preferred auction partner of Sotheby’s International, the firm originally found the property and approached Dohring to consider an auction through the local offices. Conceirge specializes in high-end home sales through auctions, selling properties from New York to Hawaii to total more than $2 billion in facilitated transactions. With a database that puts qualified buyers and sellers together, Conceirge Auctions pulls from its database of more than 100,000 luxury real estate buyers and agents from all 50 states and 38 countries and territories.
"Most of our buyers know what amenities they want," said Laura Brady, the vice president of marketing for Concierge Auctions. "They are not geographically contained either. If they want a ranch, that could be Wyoming or Texas or Utah. The firm is starting to focus on this area."
The RiverBend Ranch auction will be held on September 14. The property is open for preview daily from 1 to 4 p.m. and by appointment. A 2.5% commission is offered to the buyer’s representing broker. For more information visit RanchAuctions.com or call 877-636-7517.
