Man robs Albertsons pharmacy at gunpoint
November 3, 2009
Deputies are searching for a man who robbed an Albertsons pharmacy in the Snyderville Basin at gunpoint Oct. 29.
The man entered the store at 3151 Kilby Road at about 6:20 p.m. and requested help from the pharmacist finding an over-the-counter medication, said Detective Ron Bridge, a spokesman for the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.
The pharmacist was handed a note by the suspect demanding various prescription narcotics, Bridge said.
"After the list was given to the pharmacist, the suspect brandished a handgun in an attempt to show force," Bridge said.
The suspect left the store after receiving the items, Bridge said, adding that no money was taken in the robbery.
"There was no cash even requested," Bridge said.
