KPCW Fund Drive
KPCW will hold its summer fund drive Aug. 23-27. To make a contribution, call 649-9004. The station will hold an on-air auction Saturday, Aug. 28, beginning at 8 a.m. Tune in to 91.9 FM, 88.3 FM in Wasatch County, or stream live on at www.kpcw.org. Operators will serve as proxies during the live auction. Those who want to support the station can call 649-9004 to make bids. Volunteers are needed to take donor calls during the fund drive. Trail work event
Join the Jan’s group ride on Tuesday, Aug. 24, for a "Ride/Work/Ride" event. The group will ride bikes from Jans to the designated trail and work until dusk with the trail crew from Mountain Trails Foundation. Bring work gloves, food and water and a light jacket. Meet at Jans on Park Avenue at 6 p.m. For more information, call 649-4949.
Back-to-school open house
Parley’s Park Elementary will host its back-to-school open house on Tuesday, Aug. 24, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Students and their parents are invited to celebrate the beginning of a new school year, see their new classrooms and meet their teachers.
Wasatch State Park Fundraiser
Friends of Wasatch Mountain State Park will host its annual "Hit and Giggle" fundraiser on Wednesday, Aug. 25, at the Soldier Hollow Golf Course and Day Lodge in Midway. The event features a team scramble golf tournament at 4 p.m. followed by dinner and a silent auction. Golfers can sign up individually or as six-person teams. B.B. King Blues Festival
United Concerts presents an evening with legendary bluesman B.B. King and special guests Al Green and Buddy Guy at Deer Valley’s Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater.
