Sound Machine Auditions

The Kamas-based performing group Sound Machine will hold auditions on Tuesday, Jan. 8, at the Uinta Center for the Arts, 30 N. Main in Kamas, from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. The auditions will be open to ages 10 through 17. The performers should come ready to sing and dance. Newcomers Club Monthly Coffee

The Newcomers Club of Park City will hold its monthly coffee on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Park City Community Church, 4501 S.R. 224, from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The speaker will be George Dymalski of the Park City Film Series. Recycle Utah Presents "Clean Bin Project"

Recycle Utah will present a screening of the documentary "Clean Bin Project" on Thursday, Jan. 10, at 7 p.m. in the Jim Santy Auditorium in the Park City Library and Education Center, 1255 Park Ave. Tickets are $5. The film follows a couple’s quest to live waste free for one year. Interviews include artist Chris Jordan and marine pollution expert Charles Moore.
