Free film screening
The Sundance Institute Film Series presents a screening of "Camp Victory, Afghanistan" at the Park City Library Thursday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. The film follows several members of the U.S. National Guard and Afghan National Army, who, across the divide of language, culture, and religion, must accomplish a near impossible task: crafting a modern army to serve a struggling nation. The screening is free and open to the public.
Redstone Gallery reopening
The newly revived Redstone Gallery will host a grand reopening celebration Friday, Nov. 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. Artists Diane Whitehead, Renea Menzie and Merlin Cohen will be in attendance and all are welcome. Green video contest
Parkcitygreen.org is accepting submissions for its inaugural video contest through Nov. 12. The theme is "How do YOU keep Park City Green?" Videos must be two minutes or less and produced by individuals or groups who live or work in Summit County. Winners will be announced Nov. 22.
