On the boys’ team, freshmen Ryan Alving and James Thompson began their SSHS swimming careers on a high note. Alving finished second in the 100 backstroke and Thompson finished second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 31.22 and third in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:13:47.

"Overall the team swam very well," said coach Justin Spitzer, "especially considering we’ve only had two weeks of practice so far. The swimmers are working hard and having fun, and will have a chance to improve their times even further at our next meet"

The team’s next meet is Nov. 24 at Wasatch.
