Flaky Fundraiser Supports Ski Utah School Program
Ski Utah offers an in-school learn-to-ski-and-ride program for fourth graders. Because some schools cannot afford the fees associated with the program, Ski Utah has introduced the "Flake Your Friends" fundraiser in hopes of raising money for these schools and families. Donors can visit the Ski Utah website at http://www.skiutah.com to make donations to the school program. Donations of $50 or more will earn the chance to "Flake a Friend." Five large snowflakes will be delivered for every $50 donated to the yard of a friend or family member selected by the donor.
Jazz donate tickets
Utah Jazz players Deron Williams, Kyle Korver and Carlos Boozer are reaching out to Jazz fans by personally purchasing and donating close to 4,000 tickets to home games for the team’s 2009-10 season. Tickets are being contributed to nonprofit organizations that aid youth and individuals in need. Organizations interested in applying for donated tickets should submit a written request to Jazz Community Relations, 301 West South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84101. Submissions should be printed on official letterhead and include the number of youth in each group.
