Park City Golf Club hosts men’s tournament

The Park City Golf Club will be hosting a four-man Chicago "you pick the team" men’s tournament on Sunday, June 27. There is an 8 a.m. shotgun start and cost to enter is $30, plus green fees. Sign up is available in the golf shop.

Ice skating and hockey classes begin

Park City Ice Arena’s first summer session of Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey classes begins Tuesday, June 29, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for hockey and 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for skating. Learn to Skate classes meet on Tuesday and Thursdays for three weeks and are offered for beginners to more advanced skaters. Registration fee for the three-week session is $60 and includes: class time, practice time, skate rental, and a punch card for three open skate sessions. Learn to Play Hockey classes are offered for skaters ages 5-14 who are "stable and able." The registration fee for the three-week session is $65 without equipment or $75 with equipment (quantities and sizes limited) and includes: class time, skate rental and a punch card for two stick-and-puck sessions. Silver Mountain to host volleyball tournament

The Silver Mountain Sports Club and Spa will host a "Freedom Floater" volleyball tournament on Saturday, July 3. The mixed format will pit teams of four against each other, with two men and two women per side. All ages are welcome. Cost is $60 per team. Contact Josh or Dara at 435-649-6670 for more information. Fourth of July 5K fun run for PCST

Support the kids of the Park City Ski Team by pre-registering for the organization’s annual Fourth of July 5K Fun Run at Cole Sports. Cost is $20 until July 3 at 5 p.m., and registration is also available online at runnercard.com. Race-day registration is $25 at Cole Sports’ Park Avenue store from 6:30-7:30 a.m. Age group and overall awards and prizes are included, as are T-shirts. No dogs are allowed. Three more swimming lessons at Silver Mountain

The third summer session swimming lessons at Silver Mountain Sports Club and Spa are set to run July 6-15, with classes Monday through Thursday starting at 9:45 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. Classes are for preschool level 1-3 and youth levels 1-3, and non-members are welcome. Wasatch Wheelchair Rally at Liberty Park

Camp Kostopulos will hold the first-ever Wasatch Wheelchair Rally on Saturday, July 10, at Liberty Park, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will feature a 5K relay race, in which five-member teams (whether they walk, run, or wheel) will take turns pushing an empty wheelchair around the course to raise funds and awareness for recreation and fitness programs for people with disabilities. The event will also feature food, music, climbing wall, horse rides, and exhibition games from Utah’s top wheelchair athletes including the Wheelin’ Jazz, rugby and tennis. Sponsorships and vendors opportunities are still available. Enter a five-person team for $100 ($25 per person). Disabled athletes participate at no charge. B98.7 presents third annual fun run for WSS

On Saturday, July 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., B98.7 will sponsor the third annual Winter Sports School 5K Fun Run and Community Fair, featuring a 5K run, costume race, hula hoop competition, food, music, beverages, prizes, drawings, interactive booths and displays, face painting, performances, health screenings, safety demonstrations and more. Admission for the race and fair are $25 for adults and $15 for kids younger than 17. For admission to the fair only, cost is $5 per person. All proceeds will benefit the Winter Sports School Scholarship Fund and the United Nations World Food Program. Basin Recreation offers guided trail hikes

Basin Recreation will be offering guided hikes on its vast trail system, two times each month. Basin Recreation staff will instruct participants on proper trail etiquette, safety issues and trail knowledge. Kids are welcome, but not strollers or dogs.
